We don't know for sure where it will be yet, but when we know U'll know. We usually find out where were going in late spring when the airlines publish their prices. Congratulations to the couples who got married on our vacation. Glad to play @ U'r reception! Thank You, Jim
Hi everyone,
Riq and I just wanted to say thanks to Jim for all of his hard work and talent that he has brought to the band over the last six years. When Skip retired we knew Jim would be a perfect fit for the band and we were right!
To us, Jim was more than a co-worker he was a great friend and always will be. Jim was welcomed to the band by Skip with open arms and he in turn has done the same for Tom. I'm sure we will see Jim out at some future shows, we will let you know when and where. Thanks to everyone for the support with the change we appreciate it!
Lastly, we wish Jim all the best with his future endeavors and totally understand that he needs to focus on his home life. We will miss his great drumming and singing but most of all his sense of humor and great attitude towards every show we played.Jim all the best my friend, you will be missed!

Jim Retires
To all Ambush friends, fans, and family,
By now you may have heard that I have decided, after much thought, and a difficult decision, to leave Ambush. In reality, what's happening, is that after a career behind the drum set spanning over 31 years, I have decided to hang up the sticks, call it a career, and retire.
As many of you also know, I work at two jobs in addition to playing with Ambush, which leaves me with precious little time at home, and I have been finding it increasingly difficult to spend so much time away from my family. With Max now four and now in school, and Madeleine now two and running around like crazy, this only makes it more difficult, especially when Max asks me why I have to work all the time! I had been doing it, because I am blessed to work at jobs that I truly love to do ... so much so that it seems weird to even refer to them as jobs! But now, with a family that's growing and needing more time with me, I want to be there for them as much as I can.
At times like these, it's almost inevitable that there will be questions, speculation, and rumours, but before any of that starts, let me state honestly, and for the record, that I was, am, and will always be a part of the Ambush family. As they say in sports, I am retiring in the Ambush jersey, and with you, will continue to support two of my best friends, Mark and Riq. Although there is some obvious sadness in the parting, I just want to stress that we are parting on excellent terms, and that there is no bad blood or animosity of any kind. We are friends first, and musicians second.
Starting this Friday with the boys will be Tom VanCoughnett. He's really excited to be part of Ambush, and I couldn't be more excited for him! I remember what it was like when I started six years ago following Skip--it was overwhelming, and I was quite nervous being the "new guy" and I hope you will show Tom the same love, support, and encouragement that you all showed me! So come on out to Mustang's in Kingston, Friday, and give him a warm welcome as he takes the sticks to start his career with Ambush!
As for me, although I won't be playing drums, I will still be around! You may still reach me at jim@getambushed.com as I will continue to have that email address, I will still be on Facebook, and you may still reach me with any questions or comments you may have. I also plan on stopping in at shows to catch up on my hugs!! Please stay in touch and I will do the same!
Please accept my sincere and heartfelt thanks for all your love, support, and friendship, over these past six years with the band, and most of all, for all your hugs!! :)
All the best,
Cheers,
Jim.
